Spring Cleanup

The Village of Minerva normally offers an Annual Spring Clean Up every May (date will vary).
This provides residents a chance to get rid of unused or unwanted items.
Most items are accepted, with exceptions listed below. It’s a great time to clean out the garage, attic & basement!

Annual Spring Clean Up Guidelines

All trash to be hauled, must be in disposable containers & placed at the curb no later than 6:00 AM on the date to be chosen annually.
– Containers must not exceed fifty (50) pounds each.
No dirt, rocks, or material of this nature will be hauled.
No household paints or chemicals will be taken.
No tires will be accepted due to House Bill 592 banning tires from Solid Waste Landfill Disposal.
– Tree limbs & brush must be in bundles not to exceed five (5) feet in length or fifty (50) pounds in weight.
– Appliances that use Freon will only be accepted, if the Freon has been removed by a certified technician & has been tagged by said technician.

Recycling

Recycling bins for paper, cardboard & glass are provided by the Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Joint Solid Waste Management District.
The recycling bins and are located behind the Minerva Fire Department at 505 East Lincoln Way.

An area for aluminum can recycling is located beside the Street Garage at 505 ½ East Lincoln Way.

Internet Auctions

The Village of Minerva has been authorized to sell personal property not needed for public use, that is obsolete, or that is unfit for use.
Items to be sold by internet auction, pursuant to ORC Section 721.15.
