PUBLIC NOTICE: Crews will be mobilizing to the Bonnieview/Lynwood area today (Thursday, March 6^th). As a reminder, this replacement project will remedy the ongoing odor concerns. Work is essentially broken up into two phases – Part 1 will encompass Bonnieview/Lynwood/Lincoln Way and Part 2 will jump across Sandy Creek to the west. Please see the project map attached. For the Bonnieview/Lynwood work, crews will not begin setting up workzones until after the morning rush. However, please except delays in the afternoon, though crews will do their very best to minimize impact to school operations. We thank everyone for their patience and understanding. SEASONAL LABORERS NEEDED!

The Village of Minerva is looking for seasonal help in its Street, Parks & Cemetery Departments.

Up to 120-day employment with various duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to work Monday – Friday including some weekends. Not to exceed 30 hours a week.
Must be able to work in inclement or extreme weather conditions
Must have a valid State of Ohio driver license and remain insurable.

$15.00/hour. Duties include but not limited to mowing, trimming, picking up litter, preparing athletic fields, playground maintenance, building maintenance, general landscaping, painting, cleaning, shoveling and raking material, special events, cleaning restrooms, trash removal and other related duties as assigned. The Village of Minerva is accepting applications for the Position of Laborer with the Village Street Department.

Experience in the operation of excavating equipment in dump trucks, backhoes, and rollers, etc. preferred. Knowledge of operation of small tools and general maintenance of equipment is required. Applicant must either be a CDL holder or be able to obtain a CDL within 1 year of employment. Starting pay rate is $21.38/hour, depending on experience. Health insurance and other benefits are included. Interested individuals may pick up an application through the office of Clerk of Council, Minerva Village Hall 209 N. Market St. Minerva Ohio. Monday – Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

The Village of Minerva is accepting applications for LIFEGUARDS for the Summer Swimming Season.

The position requires the ability to enforce and maintain discipline in all pool safety including swimmer safety, maintain first aid and lifesaving equipment, cleaning & sanitizing of pool facilities, completion of required records and reports and the performance of other duties as assigned. Applicant must possess or have completed advanced lifeguard certifications (Red Cross, YMCA, etc.). The village will pay for certification classes for successful applicants.

Minimum requirements: Must be 15 years of age for lifeguard certification. Must be able to attend lifeguard certification classes if not certified.
