Village Recycling

The Village of Minerva normally offers an Annual Spring Clean Up each May (date in May will vary), which offers residents an opportunity to get rid of unused or unwanted items. Most items are accepted with the exceptions below. It’s a great time to clean out the garage, attic and basement!

2023 Date: Saturday, May 20, 2023

All trash to be hauled must be in disposable containers and placed at the curb by 6:00 A.M. on the date chosen annually.  These containers must not exceed 50 pounds each.

No dirt, rocks, or material of this nature will be hauled.  No household paints or chemicals will be taken.  No tires will be accepted due to House Bill 592 banning tires from Solid Waste Landfill Disposal.  Tree limbs and brush must be in bundles not to exceed five feet in length or 50 pounds in weight.  Appliances that use Freon will be accepted only if the Freon has been removed by a certified technician and has been tagged by said technician.

Recycling

Recycling bins for paper, cardboard and glass are offered by the Stark-Tuscarawas-Wayne Joint Solid Waste Management District and are located behind the Minerva Fire Department at 505 East Lincoln Way. An area for aluminum can recycling is located beside the Street Garage at 505 ½ East Lincoln Way.

Internet Auction Items

By Village Ordinance:  The Village of Minerva has been authorized to sell personal property not needed for public use, obsolete, or unfit for use by internet auction pursuant to ORC Section 721.15.
