The Code Enforcement Team is responsible for enforcing various chapters of the Village of Minerva’s’ Municipal Code that address public health & safety issues, including (but not limited too) violations related to exterior maintenance, sanitation, grass & weeds, littering, permit enforcement, garbage, rubbish & junk, prohibited animals, as well as other nuisances within the Village’s codified ordinances. Code Enforcement actions are taken both proactively & in response to complaints received from concerned citizens. The Code Enforcement Team works collaboratively with other Village departments & residents in order to develop & implement innovative solutions to problems related to the health & safety of our Village. 

What is the Code Enforcement Team’s purpose?

The purpose of the Code Enforcement Team, is to work in unison with the residents of Minerva to
promote & maintain a safe, healthy & comfortable living & working environment for everyone.

We help maintain and/or improve the overall quality of life in our Village in the following ways:

The Code Enforcement Team works with Village Residents, Businesses & other Village of Minerva departments to:

• Facilitate voluntary compliance with Village laws & codes.
• Empower citizens to participate in keeping problem areas cleaned up.
• Develop ways to solve recurring problems & nuisances.
